4) Who needs a Web CV?
Anybody who wishes to progress and further their career will benefit from a Web CV; it will bring their job search into the 21st Century. Whether employed or unemployed, skilled or semi-skilled, professional, vocational, executive, non-executive or managerial, you should have a Web CV, which suits both the employed and self employed . It will help you if you are looking for your very first job or planning your last job move before you retire. If you are looking for a new position following redundancy or looking to return to work following a planned break, such as a sabbatical or starting a family, a Web CV will be an advantage. 5) Why do I need a Web CV?
A Web CV is the way that all CVs will be written in the future. A hundred years ago people applied for jobs with a hand written paper CV. In the latter part of the 20th Century, CVs were produced using a typewriter. This progressed to CVs being written on computers using Word or other software. Latterly these have been sent to recruiters or employers as attachments to emails, or loaded directly on to job boards. With ever increasing use of the Internet and websites, it is inevitable that CVs will more commonly and universally be formatted as Web CVs. In fact many recruitment agencies and employers are now requesting or insisting on a Web CV when looking for candidates.
